The hiring process at Vivid Seats takes an average of 14 days when considering 1 user submitted interviews across all job titles. Candidates applying for Senior DevOps Engineer had the quickest hiring process (on average 14 days), whereas Senior DevOps Engineer roles had the slowest hiring process (on average 14 days).
I had a recruiter call with them about my background and next steps. Unfortunately, after that initial call, communication stopped entirely. While I understand that hiring priorities change and not every conversation leads to a next round, being ghosted after a scheduled conversation is unprofessional and disrespectful of a candidate's time. Providing simple closure takes very little effort and goes a long way for candidate experience. Even an automated rejection email is better than ghosting

Question 1
Why did you leave your last company, What do you want in your next step?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Vivid Seats (Coppell, TX) in Mar 2026
Interview
First interview was over the phone with the talent recruiter. It was all "Tell me about a time..." questions. Then I was quickly passed onto an easy mapping exercise--just had to replicate the outlines of a seating chart in Illustrator and make a strategic choice about how to label the seats sans the option of color-coding. Second interview was two back to back virtual interviews with a senior mapping associate and an operations exec, both located in Chicago. Third was with an in-person senior HR business partner.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Vivid Seats
Interview
Initial 30 minute phone screen with recruiter. Went over background, experience, and fit for the role. Discussed engineering team organization, project management, etc. Described the interview process which was several rounds but did not move forward in the process.
