WMH interview questions

Application requests 9 essay answers to questions. Despite the high barrier to apply, and meeting all qualifications, I received a fast, generic rejection. No response from recruiter. Job has been posted for approx 5 months.

The interview process was 4 stages long (3 on-site) over the course of just under 2 months. The interviews were with the same two very high-level individuals with the same questions being asked during every round. During the last interview stage, however, the CEO asked me "So, where exactly are you from?" I received an official offer letter the same afternoon. It ended up being an exploding offer with only 1.5 days to give them my decision. They then wanted me to start the next week, which was 2 workdays from the date they expected my decision back.
