      C# .NET Software Developer Interview

      20 Mar 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at WTW in Jan 2018

      Interview

Very long interview process that was stretched out a little less than 2 months. Here are all the interviews I did for this position: - The first part was a short 30 min interview with a recruiter. - Second interview was a video interview where they ask a series of questions and record your response. Each question allows 30 sec - 1 minute before it starts recording automatically. It will allow a maximum of 1 minute recordings with no option to re-do your response. - Third interview was 30 min over the phone with a developer in a different state. Asked questions related to my resume and a few programming questions - Fourth was a 30 min video interview with a live person located in another state. Coding exercise and asked questions related to coding. - Last interview was in person with two different people. One was a Project Manager 30 min, asked questions about thought process if put in different scenarios. The other person was a developer 30 min, asked questions about SQL, and C#. So total an hour for the in person. This is the last interview before an offer is made. I personally didn't like the video interview where it was a series of questions that were recorded and timed. I didn't receive an offer because hiring manager said "lack of technical proficiency". I made minor mistakes, mainly because I get nervous during interviews especially when the interviewees seem to be in a rush at times to finish interviewing me. I think that they should have caught my lack of skill and/or knowledge earlier in the other interviews and I shouldn't have made it to the second or even third interview. I had to take a lot of time from my current job to just be able to do all the interviews.
