The interview was pretty easy, the recruiter Wanted to know more about who I was as a person versus the generic skill set and education I have. I feel like the recruiter and I hit it off very well and I’m excited to talk to him again.
I interviewed at WWEX Group (Troy, MI) in May 2026
Interview
Pros: The recruiter was responsive and accommodating during the scheduling process. The hiring manager was personable and transparent about the role's expectations.
Cons: The virtual interview lasted approximately 22 minutes. The hiring manager spent the majority of the time discussing his own background and company history, leaving me little opportunity to present my qualifications. I have enterprise B2B sales experience with over $3M in annual revenue — none of that was explored.
At the end of the interview I was specifically instructed to contact the recruiter that same day to express my interest. I reached out multiple times via LinkedIn and email. She did not respond until the following day with a generic rejection and no specific feedback — despite being the one who directed me to call her.
Advice to Management: If you tell a candidate to follow up same day, honor that commitment. Candidates invest real time and energy into your process. The lack of follow through after an already brief interview is unprofessional and disrespectful.
I would encourage candidates — particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds — to review this company's diversity ratings on Glassdoor before investing their time. The data is worth reading carefully.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I gave a concise overview of my enterprise B2B sales background including generating over $3M in annual revenue selling LinkedIn solutions to Fortune 500 accounts. Before I could expand further the hiring manager redirected the conversation entirely to his own background and company history. He dominated the remainder of the 22 minute interview leaving me no real opportunity to sell my qualifications or demonstrate fit for the role.
The interview process is very formal. You usually meet via zoom then in person. Highlight resume, sales is important and make sure to
Close. It is a sales job, so come prepared with follow ups, and dressed appropriately
