I got interviewed in person once and pretty much got the job on the spot. I think it depends on your location primarily. They seemed to be under-staffed with an ever-increasing number of clients each shift. The interview was standard and took about 20 - 25 minutes---asking about my educational background, affinity with coworkers, whether I had thick skin and could deal with customers being rude/combative...

I applied online. I interviewed at Walgreens (Wheeling, IL) in Jun 2026
Interview
I applied online and was contacted to schedule an interview. The interview was straightforward and mostly focused on my availability, customer service experience, teamwork, and why I wanted to work in a pharmacy setting. They asked behavioral questions about handling difficult customers, working with coworkers, and staying organized in a busy environment. The pharmacist interviewed me and was professional, explained the role, expectations, and next steps clearly. The store manager was also present and took notes. I am still waiting to hear back about an offer.

I applied online. I interviewed at Walgreens (Warren, NJ) in May 2026

Straightforward, started off with introductions. Focused on experience, comfortability with learning new skills, interest in healthcare and Walgreens as a company. It was important to show how and why you’re interested in healthcare.

Question 1
Take me through a day in the life of your previous place of employment.
Very easy and laid back interview process. Unfortunately, Walgreens doesn’t have a great retention rate so they hire who they can as long as you tell them you have an interest in working long term.
