I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Wellington Management in Apr 2009
Interview
Wellington is notorious for the long interview process, with the average candidate having 15-16 interviews before receiving an offer. Candidates interview with the hiring manager, a number of peers in the hiring group, managers and peers from groups across the organisation with whom the candidate will interact, and at least one partner in addition to H.R. Each interviewer fills out a questionnaire summarizing the interview and giving a thumbs up or down. At the end of each round of interviews, usually scheduled 4-5 per 1/2 day session, the assessments are reviews and a decision on whether or not to proceed is made. At the end of the process an offer is tendered. The process is lengthy - in addition to qualification, Wellington takes cultural fit very seriously.

I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Wellington Management (Boston, MA) in Nov 2022
Interview
5 interviews with no role defined then they matched me to a role that was not in line with my experience. 6th interview with hiring manager who was obvious about having decided before the call he was not interested. The process did not work as well as they intended- for me it was mostly wasted effort and time. I recommend asking them to provide clarity on the role sooner. Company has a good reputation for the culture and very flat organizationally with everyone being hands on.
