[I pointed out that all my skills and experience matched what they were looking for in the job description. I brought an extra copy of my resume/cover letter and the job description with me, gave it to the two HR people so they could follow along. They are swamped, and it would be a kindness to bring extra copies - they don't have time to print them out for you. Come prepared. I told them that I wanted to work for ACV given my long history working at another strtup, and love of the whole exciting entrepreneurial culture. Observation: ACV has a strong entrepreneurial "start-up" culture. Things are dynamic, changing. Be prepared for your job title or duties to change as the company rapidly expands/grows. You have to be the sort of person who has prior startup experience and/or likes to roll with the punches. If you need a lot of "sameness", stability, lack of change, and predictability in your job, then this may not be the right culture fit for you. This is "new school". But I do believe that the potential for promotion and working your way up the food chain does exist here. They just secured another 30 million (or so) in funding for Stage 2 expansion, so the funding is there to pay you fairly, and they are growing/expanding like crazy. To me that is really exciting, because I can constantly learn and master new stuff, be in charge of important stuff, make a substantial contribution. Whether I get called back for round 2 of interviews or not, it seems like a really cool, upbeat place to work with no glass ceilings and "they sky's the limit".]
