ACV won the 43 North entrepreneurship competition in 2015, so as part of that they got to put their offices in the "Innovation Center" or "DIG" building managed by Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus. As of March 7, 2018 they are scattered on different floors as the company expands, with the goal of moving up to the 2nd floor to an open office arrangement. You can park in the parking lot, or pay for close on-street parking. There was even special on-street parking for electrical cars - how progressive is that! I got there 15 minutes early, checked in at the front desk, got a badge. They phoned up. Jordan Brown, the HR Generalist, met me by the fornt desk about 5 minutes after my scheduled interview. He was very nice and approachable, dressed in a sweater, not a formal suit. The whole company culture is "business casual" where there are solid expectations, but they want people to be happy coming to work, to feel relaxed and "at home" (...away from home?). I was taken into a common/shared meeting room on the 2nd floor surrounded by glass doors, sat at a conference table. Jordan sat across from me. The "head" seat was empty and we waited on Jill Ball, the HR Director. Her personality was very direct , cut-and-dry, not sugar-coated. She asked some really good, pointed questions, asked me to elaborate on past duties, asked for a few examples to back things up. I felt like she was really busy, a bit short-staffed, had a lot on her plate, a bit short on time.
