I applied online. I interviewed at World Bank Group in Jul 2016
Interview
I applied online in April 2016. In July I received a call from the Hiring Manager in Washington DC who confirmed my availability and subsequently sent an invitation for an interview. The panel consisted of 5 persons; 3 in Washington, 1 in Jamaica, 1 in Argentina. It was a video conference interview. They asked a number of questions including basic, behavioral and competency-based questions. It lasted for about 45 minutes and based on my experience with interviews I knew I aced it. They called about a week after to offer congratulations on being 1 of the 2 successful candidates who will go on to the next stage of the application process. Wait!! Next stage? You can imagine my surprise. The next interview was with the Latin American and the Caribbean Director. Her first question was, "Tell me how you would go about determining the amount of men who wear ties in the country?" That was it for me! I literally went blank.

Lots of processes, there are standardized tests, role-based tests before panel interviews. You could have one-on-one interviews after the panel interviews, depending on your location. It helps to prepare and be confident. Also hope it’s a friendly panel.
