I applied for Software Engineer C#. Entry to mid level ish.
Talked with the HR lady. She was really nice and navigated through the interview with ease.
First meeting round was with the hiring manager. He was really nice. Chatted about past experience and project. details
Then there was a panel interview with senior devs. Again same style past experience of project and stuffs.
Then 3rd round was another 1 hr with tech leads from India. They asked very vague and depth C# and EF questions. Honestly I did bad because i dint prep C# enough. But if you prep C# and EF basics you should be good. Then they also asked some JS question but basics.
Final round was another panel with tech lead and another senior. This was the round that pissed my ego to next level. It started with some basic system design and then some coding of viewmodels in C#. I answered good enough but their attitude was as if we had to know Xamarin and C# front end since your childhood. Like its Xamarin in 2026. Not rocket science lmao. Imagine writing code in Xamarin and C# but having the ego of FAANG level developers. Then the senior dev also had list of her questions. She asked me what would you do if a webpage is blank. I told her I d inspect it and check console as a dev. She went Fine Whatever. Excuse me? Fine whatever? Working as devs at Xylem but attitude of Meta/Amazon developers.
I knew the standard of engineering here from this interview. Im glad I got rejected.
Also 4 panel rounds of interview for an entry/mid lvl developer at a company called Xylem is not it.
