I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Your Part-Time Controller, LLC (New York, NY) in May 2016
Interview
The initial interview was a phone screen which was pretty standard just questions about my background and how I approach work. The second interview had a test with very specific questions regarding classifying if credits and debits resulted in increases or decreases in cash. I haven't looked at that stuff in year and bombed the interview. When I mentioned that I had the general idea for most of the questions, the interviewer pointed out I wasn't wearing a tie.

Furthermore, since you're interviewing, we'd recommend you wear a tie to interviews in the future, especially if you're looking for a job with an accounting firm or any outsourced professional services firm. Best wishes to you in your search.
