      Sales Recruiter Interview

      31 May 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Zones

      Interview

This by far was the WORST experience I have had in interviewing. I had SIX, that's right SIX different interview rounds, after initially being reached out to for the role. For starters, I barely was being reached out to first, I constantly had to follow up from previous conversations and emails where I was told the next round was going to be scheduled. Every two or weeks or so, I talked to someone new. Then after each interview I was told that great feedback was provided back from who I spoke to, and *again* wanted me to talk to yet ANOTHER person. This is a recruiting role. 6 interviews is CRAZY. Especially when each person I talked to was saying positive things about me. Then, there it was, my sixth and final interview. This was the worst experience. I felt like I was being talked to like I was dumb and didn't know what I was talking about. Meanwhile, I made it past 5 other rounds successfully. The woman who interviewed me was very condescending and just straight up rude - mind you, not someone I would directly be reporting to, OR the decision maker of the role. Because of this LAST interview, after TWO MONTHS of interviewing successfully, I don't end up getting position. How is someone who isn't even the HM get to make that decision? How aren't you going to let the HM make that decision when I was told I was ready to get an offer made before that final round. It was horrible, WAY too long, and the worst experience for a recruiter position. I proved myself 5 other times. Not sure why this final round after 2 months was the one that made that final decision. I was also told that I can get referred to other recruiters because I was liked, and when I reached out about that, never got a response (typical and a pattern here). Other than that last interview, everyone else I talked to was super nice and made me feel very comfortable. Sad.
