This was hands-down one of the messiest and most unprofessional interview experiences I’ve had.
The final interview included eight people on the call, with no clear plan or structure. No one seemed to know who was leading, who was asking what, or how to guide the conversation. Everyone talked over each other, making it chaotic and difficult to engage meaningfully.
The CEO showed up over 10 minutes late and immediately hijacked the discussion. From there, it was rapid-fire questions, constant interruptions, and no room to finish a thought. It felt more like a disorganized panel trying to prove a point than a real conversation about the role.
By the end of the call, it was clear there was a serious lack of professionalism and internal alignment. I reached out after the interview to inform them I wasn’t interested in joining their team. If you’re looking for a collaborative, thoughtful hiring process, I’d recommend approaching Behindthechair.com with caution.
