1st interview on the phone, wasn't with the person that was scheduled, the other person was on holiday. Guy at least apologised but wasn't really part of the team for that role, and wasn't technical. Had a friendly chat, and quite liked the experience.
Was successful at that stage and was offered a 2nd stage consisting of a 90 minute technical test and a 2nd interview after the technical test. I joined the Teams meeting promptly but no-one had turned up, gave them 10 minutes but still no-one, so chased via the recruitment agent. 30 minutes late the guy I was supposed to have been on the first interview turned up, ok he was apologetic, but he didn't seem professional enough to doing interviews. Anyway did the 90 minute test, completed most of it. Then emailed it back to the guy, and thought I would then get 2nd interview immediately after, but wasn't the case, just a thanks and we'll let you know.
The recruitment agent at this stage struggled to get any information out of them whether I was successful or any feedback.
5 working days later, the agent finds out finally after chasing every day they want to have the 2nd interview (third stage).
So I attend this 2nd interview, two out of the four people expected interview me, there was a third but they just disappeared. The guy I did the test kept disappearing offline every now and then as well, so probably didn't hear what I was saying. It was a friendly chat about my experience and about the company and the teams. When I asked about the team I would be in, they said I would be fixing bugs in what sounded like third line support not development, and the team leader would have been the fourth person that didn't even attend the call. I thought it went well from my side and was even asked some HR questions that wouldn't normally be asked unless you had an offer. They left it saying they would contact the agent on the Monday as it was late on Friday afternoon. So Monday arrives and find out nothing. Ok maybe tomorrow, nothing. Wednesday the agent says he's been trying and not heard anything. Finally Friday arrives (one week later...), the agent finds out the result just saying "was unsuccessful". Just a one liner, no feedback at all. Agent is still chasing for feedback, but after three stages in a recruitment process you expect more than just "unsuccessful".
Overall it was very dire experience, not being interviewed by the people you were told would be attending. Turning up late for the 2nd stage. A week each time to find out anything, and then no semi detailed feedback after wasting my time (and theirs presumably). All feels very unprofessional and thankfully feel like I dodged a bullet.
