I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at bp

      Interview

Number of stages: Online Tests (verbal and numerical), Telephone Interview (competency based), Technical Interview and Assessment Centre. Technical interview was on site and involved a number of questions about yourself and your past experiences followed by the more technical questions which included discussion of a recent university project.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at bp (London, England) in Feb 2015

      Interview

      - Long interview process, online application with many boxes to be filled about my accomplishments and achievements - Online behavior questions - Online numerical and verbal test (very tight on time) - 45 min telephone interview about why BP, what I expect from the internship - technical on-site interview in London (all expenses paid); probably the hardest part of the application process. Very challenging questions and a lot of detail. Geologists will get seismic to interpret and geophysicists will get outcrop or core data to see how to cope with a stressful situation. Involves also case studies - 5 h assessment centre with 3 exercises (2 1h group discussions and 1 1:1 presentation with a senior geoscientist) in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere

      Interview questions [3]

      Question 1

What other methods than seismic can be used for exploration?
      Answer question

      Question 2

      Why BP?
      Answer question

      Question 3

How do you identify with our core value ____ (know their values and how you fit in)
