I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at bp (Houston, TX)
Interview
Originally interviewed for a Well Site leader role as part of the graduate program. Overall straightforward process with HireVue round 1 and technical round 2 interview. Technical round was in depth but not difficult. I was sent what looked like a automated rejection email after the technical round, and then a recruiter reached out about a week later to schedule a final round interview for a Wells Engineer, at which point I had accepted another offer. The miscommunication there was odd.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at bp (Kuala Lumpur) in Apr 2026
Interview
Initial Saville Assessment (similar to an IQ test) which contained a memory puzzle, basic mathematical calculations and pattern recognition in the form of shapes and number patterns. Second stage was a standardized HireVue interview.
On-demand video interview by HireVue. You will record your responses to these questions using your webcam. Usually, you have a set amount of time to answer each question. You may have multiple attempts for each answer, though this depends on the specific setup of the interview.
