Questions about technical skills were the focus. Needs to demonstrate solid knowledge of skills (ruby on rails, html, css, databases) and be able to execute quickly. Both the hiring manager(non technical) and the previous web developer interviews you. Since you are applying for a position where you are the only web developer and technical problem solver, you must demonstrate solid understanding of ruby on rails. Ability to work with the team is a must. It is a small company, and people are laid back. The phone interview is about 20 minutes
