I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at edX (Sydney) in Aug 2023
Interview
I was reached out by sourcing specialist from edX in LinkedIn for a full stack web development instructor role with University of Sydney. I got the invite to schedule first initial interview covering about the roles, about my experiences and few behavioral questions related to teaching scenarios. After that, I was moved to next step for online assessment that has multiple choice and coding questions related to HTML, CSS, Javascript, Nodejs, SQL, React, MongoDB etc. I passed the online assessment and scheduled for final interview that is a role play as an instructor to teach a student. I reached out to the recruiter for feedback after around 5 days of final interview and the next day, I got a call from the recruiter with very positive feedback that I did very well and passed the final interview as well. At the same time, the recruiter told me that the position for instructor is not available at the moment and will contact once it's available. I checked the edX official website careers page but the job ad they have partnered with all Australian universities for full stack web development bootcamp is still active. Not sure whether all the position has been filled or not or they are still interviewing more candidates.
