I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at hi5.agency (Los Angeles, CA) in Mar 2021
Interview
The interview process was standard. I met with my would be supervisor and then the team. They asked questions about my experience, how it related to the position, and how I would handle client relations and feedback. When I met with the team, I asked what they particularly loved about the work environment and they reported that they loved the president Dj'd on somedays and went around spraying people with water guns, if they didn't answer trivia or creative questions correctly. This wasn't my idea of what felt like a safe environment, so I declined the position.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at hi5.agency (Burbank, CA) in Jun 2019
Interview
I was submitted for the position by a headhunter. A phone interview was scheduled for that same afternoon. The interviewer began the interview more than 30 minutes after the scheduled start time. Then, as soon as the interview began, the interviewer took a rude and dismissive tone. This reached a crescendo when they found out that I had never worked in the advertising industry before. (My background was in Finance, and I strongly felt my experience was in line with the position.) During the interview, there were several extended pauses by the interviewer, and I could clearly hear that they were working on something else while I talked. By the end of the interview, the interviewer had successfully conveyed to me that the interview was a waste of their precious time. Therefore, as soon as the interview ended, I called the headhunter, thanked them for their time and assistance, and then kindly requested that my submission be withdrawn. #somanyredflags
