I interviewed with an HR person and it was an enjoyable and very conversational experience. It was thoughtful and informative, and we seemed to be on the same page.
I was then invited to interview with other members of the HR team and it was very disconnected and cold process. At the time of the interview, I was told that this second interview was going to be conversational, and I would know by the end of the week. Instead, I was met with hurried and non-thought provoking questions that could have been easily Googled. Additionally at the end of the interview, I was told "We're running out of time, but do you have any questions?" This made me feel that the team was not only uninterested in my questions, but they had already tuned me out.
I then had to reach out for a status of my interview, after the holidays some 12 days later, and was sent a canned response that I'm no longer in consideration for the role. No further insights or reasons were given. If a candidate is to spend time interviewing, it is only right that the organization provide further details and feedback as to why they are no longer in consideration for the role.
From one HR professional to another this was very disappointing and honestly cold experience.
