The role was intended for someone to come in and own the front-end. The listing said their tech stack involves Angular but welcome anyone with React or Vue experience to apply. I have React experience so I double checked numerous times that my experience would be a good fit. In my first interview with the hiring manager and a principal software engineer, I was asked numerous Angular questions. I even double checked with them that they knew my experience lied in React rather than Angular and they said they knew. It was an awkward and terrible experience.
