Do you have a keen interest in learning about cider production?
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to assist the Head Cider Maker with all aspects of cider production in this full-time role starting in August, in time for the apple harvest.
About the farm business
Located in a beautiful part of Somerset, near Shepton Mallet, Orchard Park Farm comprises of over 200 Ha of cider apple orchards under management, and has a juice-processing cidery, pressing and making approximately 1.2 million litres of base cider per year. It is a growing rural business and hosts public facing events throughout the year.

Responsibilities of the role:
· Operating the apple press
· Assisting in the cider making process, including racking
· General care of the base liquid
· Working in the orchards
· Helping with events and other activities
· General farm duties

· Competent in record-keeping and numeracy
· Able to pay attention to detail
· Passionate about the outdoors
· Enthusiastic and self-motivated
· Able to work alone as well as be a team player
· Committed to good time-keeping
· Reliable with a positive can-do attitude.
Candidate Requirements
· Full UK Driving Licence
· Minimum age 18 years.
· No cider-making experience necessary as training will be provided.
· Forklift training certificate desirable, but training can be provided
· Applicants must be able to show evidence of the right to work in the UK.
What we offer
· Pay: £25,300 - £30,000 p.a. depending on age and experience.

Work Location: In person at Orchard Park Farm, BA4 6SF
Working Hours: 45 hrs/week. Monday-Friday (07:30 – 17:00), with some weekends and extra hours during busy season (Sep – Dec).
