Encore Software's products -- which are designed for use on PCs and console games, as well as over the Internet -- can be found in retail stores across the US. Publishing brands include Hoyle, Marine Aquarium, Family Tree Maker, 3D Home Architect, and the Riverdeep family of brands. CEO Michael Bell founded the company in a basement with his college roommate in 1994. Navarre Corporation, a distributor and publisher of entertainment goods, owns Encore Software.
