It's entirely possible that ENTECH holds the key both to future energy production and space exploration. The company provides solar power systems for houses and commercial buildings; its equipment can also be used for utility-scale plants and to power spacecraft. ENTECH claims to be the world's top manufacturer of concentrating photovoltaic solar systems, which, in addition to electrical output can also produce thermal energy. Terrestrial applications vary from 1 kW remote power units, to large utility power plants. Space applications include the award-winning 2.5 kW SCARLET array on the NASA/JPL Deep Space 1 spacecraft. In 2008 Entech Solar (as Worldwater & Solar Technologies) bought ENTECH.
