Toxic mold and environmental air quality are just two of the concerns of Environmental Health & Engineering. The engineering and health and safety services firm offers consulting services geared towards creating healthier work environments in buildings -- ranging from large office complexes to suburban schools. Its services range from studies of the effects of pollutant exposure to human health, to risk assessments, to support the commissioning of research laboratories, to advice on federal compliance requirements. In 2009 it was contracted by the Consumer Product Safety Commission to study air quality in homes built using Chinese-made drywall. The group was founded in 1988 by Harvard lecturer Jack McCarthy.
