Because it’s always there, you may not think about where it comes from. Georgia System Operations is part of the team that lights up Georgia by managing and monitoring the generation and transmission of electricity into your home and across the state. We produce that safe, reliable power thanks to our skilled employees — roughly 250 people ranging from electrical engineers to back-office support.

We are Georgia System Operations Corporation. We play an important role in Georgia, monitoring and managing electric generation, transmission, and distribution assets owned by Oglethorpe Power Corporation, Georgia Transmission Corporation, and 38 of Georgia’s electric member corporations, which cover about 70% of the state’s land area and serve about half of Georgia's businesses and residents.
