Description No slim pickin's here -- Grupo Financiero Inbursa represents the financial services operations of Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim Helú, behind only Bill Gates and Warren Buffett on the world's wealthiest person list. Subsidiary Banco Inbursa provides retail and commercial banking services and products including deposit accounts, loans, leases, and currency exchange. Seguros Inbursa sells life, health, and property/casualty insurance. Financiero Inbursa provides brokerage and investment services. In 2008 Carlos Slim bought a 6% stake in The New York Times Company (making him the largest shareholder of the company); he plans to invest another $250 million. Mr. Slim controls 71% of Grupo Financiero Inbursa.
