Description Throughout her 900-year history, Leeds Castle has been a glamorous retreat, a place where guests rested, feasted and enjoyed great entertainment.

Owned by six medieval Queens, then King Henry VIII and his first wife, Katherine of Aragon, then passed into private families, before her final owner, Anglo-American heiress, Lady Baillie, who rescued and transformed the Castle into a 1930s country house retreat.

Upon Lady Baillie’s death in 1974, the Leeds Castle Foundation was created. This ensuring for generation after generation, visitors will walk through the fascinating history of the Castle, and create lasting experiences amongst over 500 acres of seasonal parkland, to the marvellous Bird of Prey Centre, through to the golf course, and charming on-site accommodations.
