Description "Where's the beef?" In Brazil, if you're Marfrig. Through its GJ brand, it's a top South American beef producer. Marfrig Alimentos processes and exports premium beef cuts and frozen cooked parts -- from tongues to shanks -- to consumers in Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. It also supplies lamb, pork, poultry, and other food products, and runs about 10 processing centers throughout South America, where it has a slaughter production capacity of about 10,000 animals per day, as well as a central storage facility. Marfrig, which aims to supply the world's largest restaurant chains, in 2010 acquired US-based Keystone Foods for about $1.2 billion and Brazilian firm Seara Alimentos Ltd.
