Description NeoMagic was trying to capture some of its old magic with new types of products. Once a player in the cutthroat graphics chip business, NeoMagic wound down that business to concentrate on embedded chips, especially for wireless applications. The company developed embedded microprocessors and system-on-a-chip (SoC) units used in mobile phones, digital audio players, and PDAs. The company aimed to extend its expertise in SoC integration into wireless multimedia applications in products such as digital still cameras and gaming consoles. Flextronics accounts for most of the company's sales. In 2008 NeoMagic laid off nearly all employees and suspended most operations.
