An international financing leviathan, ORIX is one of Japan's largest public financial services firms. The company finances leases of everything from computers and measuring equipment to aircraft and ships; it rents out some 22,000 different items and is adding more. ORIX also engages in consumer and corporate finance, investment banking, brokerage, car rental, and property development and management services in Japan and more than 20 other countries. Its retail offerings include banking, life insurance, credit cards, and trust services. ORIX even has its own professional baseball team, the Kobe-based ORIX Buffaloes.
