Description I want my HDTV! That's music to the ears of Syntax-Brillian, which manufactures and markets high-definition widescreen LCD televisions, under the Olevia brand, as well as digital cameras, and other consumer digital entertainment products. The consumer electronics firm also offers optical modules and light engines -- including prisms, color separators, and lenses -- for complete display systems. Syntax-Brillian sold its Vivitar camera and photographic accessories subsidiary (acquired in 2006) in 2008. The firm filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in July 2008 and agreed to sell certain of its assets to a new company, Olevia International Group.
