Description Need more storage? World Point operates bulk storage and shipment terminals for petroleum and other liquid products in the Bahamas and Bermuda (operating as South Riding Point), and North America (operating as Center Point in various locations in the US). The group owns and operates more than 10.4 million barrels of oil storage facilities. The terminals also blend and transport crude oil and refined petroleum products. In 2009 the company sold its crude oil terminal in the Bahamas and its 50% stake in a Bahamas-based tugboat operator to Statoil for $263.2 million. It also acquired a 680,000 barrel petroleum storage facility in West Virginia for $9.1 million. The company took itself private in 2010.
