Description bpha is a large housing association based in Bedford, operating across the Oxford to Cambridge Arc. We have been serving local people for over 30 years, beginning in 1990 with the transfer of 7,300 homes from Bedford Borough Council. As one of the first stock transfers in England, we are proud of our heritage and our long-standing commitment to providing homes for local residents.
Today, we have grown to be a housing association with just over 20,000 homes across our wider geography. While we continue to have a strong presence in Bedford, we are equally proud to serve communities from Cambridge to Oxford. Our local focus enables us to build strong partnerships with local authorities, public services, and the voluntary sector, as well as develop a deep understanding of the needs of the people we serve.

We have an outstanding track record of delivering affordable homes and are committed to building communities where people can live happily in a home they can afford. We employ over 450 staff who are dedicated to providing high quality, value for money services to our customers.
We also play an active role in supporting our communities, including being a key partner in the launch of Bedford Giving and operating community hubs across our geography.
