Management are useless, egotistical, toxic, destructive idiots. Recruitment processes can be ridiculously protracted. Disagreeing with a manager can get you sacked the same day: why are they hiring good people when they don't want to listen to the expertise those staff have? Employment lawyers could have a field-day, people are sacked over the phone, or suddenly can't log into their computer and are then told to clear their desks: the work they were doing at the moment they are sacked is lost, even if it's the result of weeks of effort.
