Pros

Interior Design of the office.

Cons

I was hired on as a digital project manager. After two weeks at the job and just finishing my training, they randomly fired me. My manager brought me into a separate office where it was just him and I and said "I have some bad news, today will be your last day". Surprised, I asked him "What happened?" and he then said "It just wasn't a good cultural fit." He then handed me an envelope and swiftly walked out of the room without even looking me in the eyes. This came to a complete surprise to me because I got along with everyone at the office very well and I never received negative feedback from any of the work I did (which was not a lot). So unprofessional.

Pros

Nice office, relaxed workload, flexible hours, good benefits, nice people, stocked office snacks, good work-life balance. Overall, if you are looking for an easy SEO position with the possibility of a small pay bump every year, this may be the position for you.

Cons

If you are looking for a place to advance your career as an SEO, I would look elsewhere. The company advertises itself as a "digital marketing agency" to job seekers but it is really a LAWYER marking agency. This makes a HUGE difference in terms of SEO strategy. You'll find most of your time being dedicated to spammy link building, creating low-quality images, and outlining content that has been done 1000 times - things that would be unimaginable in other industries. In terms of career opportunities, there is no clear growth tract/outlines. Managers do not take the time to explain how to advance to a higher position nor take the time to understand what your career goals are. This was my experience with my particular department. I do want to mention that many people in other departments have been at the company for a long time, so it may be different for others. Lastly, the response to COVID-19 was sub-par. We were able to work from home only after it was mandatory. Parents were still expected to work the full 8 hours (complete disregard of all the stress/anxiety of a new pandemic and school closures). Mid through the pandemic we were told to come in for an in-person training session, something that could have very well been done via zoom. In-person events were held as well. Yes, we had the option of skipping but even encouraging in-person activities like that is irresponsible.

We always feel bad for having to let people go (it's absolutely the worst part of the job), but it's sad when former employees resort to dishonest reviews like this one filled with statements that are completely false. This review was left by someone who was simply not performing their job. It's sad that Glassdoor allows reviews like this to remain up because it is presenting false information to users.
