Pros
My benefits are good and I've been treated very well.
The company encourages me to develop myself. They put me through an entomology class at Purdue, a management class online with University of California at Davis, and a lot of training with their management team. Sometimes I feel like my brain might explode (just kidding). Actually, I feel like I've grown a lot, and I plan to apply for an internal promotion. My manager told me another position would open and I needed to be ready for it. I feel like that time is coming, and I will be ready to be promoted. I've studied hard.
I recommend working here if you work well independently. I take my vehicle home, and I sometimes don't go to the office more than once a week, so someone who is not self-motivated might not thrive with that much independence. Personally, I really like it.
There are a lot of different specialized departments here, so try to join the one you'd be the best fit for. I think they have a department of people who are all carpenters, for people who don't want to work with insects or wildlife. I would recommend this company as a good job path for a family member or close friend.
Cons
I can't really think of anything negative. Compared to all of the other companies I
ever worked for, this one is more professional and the people are nicer and smarter.
