poor company culture combined with a highschool like atmosphere of pettiness makes for a negative work environment

Outdated and conflicting systems used throughout the company. Interdepartmental fighting is a daily occurrence to the point that departments actively attempt to hinder others solely on personal issues. upward movement is based on favoritism rather than merit. opinions and suggestions for improvement are asked for then completely ignored or even used against you later. Very very little opportunity for overtime. Training is "learn on the go" unfortunately due to the poorly implemented operations along with each department not knowing or choosing to ignore the few processes in place means you never truly will know the proper way to do your job. Asking for help can be a gamble as you never know if you will be told the right why to do something, some half measure, or just simply get in trouble because you should have already known the answer when often there is no correct answer and there is no system in place. Nepotism is so rampant you must be prepared to accept that if you are not blood related to someone in upper management be prepared to be held to a much stricter standard on all fronts compared to those than those who are. The collections industry in and of its self is a negative environment and that hangs over ARSI. collection calls can be heard openly due to the layout of the office spaces and over time can lead to depression as most of the debt worked with is personal not business. Collections is not for everyone and unfortunately at ARSI there is no attempt to even try and look at the few positives of the industry.
