Greatly Improving

Pros

Everyone can have a different experience at a company, but for me its a sign of what you put in. Myself and plenty of others have been encouraged and pushed to reach higher standards and yes at times it can be hard. Though we have been supported throughout this and its really helped push my career. On a production front things are constantly improving, and moving with the times. Added to that is a fantastic family environment that would make anyone feel welcome.

Cons

Be great to see a social club start like the Dublin office

Toxic environment

Pros

You finish work at 5.30 everyday. Fake it till you make it.

Cons

Toxic environment Back stabbing management Management don't have the skills, knowledge or know-how to be industry leaders. Treat junior staff members badly High turnover rate, which is unsurprising considering how they treat their staff. Have a very elitist mentality. If you're not part of 'the' group, you're out.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and we are very sorry that you have had a negative experience during your time at AVB. We know working for us isn’t for everyone but you didn’t bring any of these concerns to us during your tenure, and we’re particularly concerned about your statements around junior members of staff being treated badly – perhaps you could reach out to us directly to explain this so we can understand how we have failed you or others in this area and prevent it happening again. You also mention a lack of learning opportunities. Everyone is given equal opportunity to grow and develop their career through internal mentoring and external training. However, alongside training needs we identify, we do also need staff members to be proactive in bringing their aspirations to our attention and identifying training opportunities that will benefit them in their role or help them develop new skills. We try to balance creating a sustainable business and doing a good job for our clients with our most important asset, our staff, however we accept we could do better in many areas. So, we are actively working towards being much more flexible, building a more open culture and ensuring our staff at all levels are always listened to and their needs prioritised. Thanks again for your feedback and we wish you the best in your career.

Not a supportive company to work for

Pros

They seem to be trying to turn things around but I doubt they'll ever change.

Cons

Not good for wellbeing. Long hours, staff treated badly, you are just a number in there, staff are not supported at all. Was delighted the day I left. No chances for stepping up the career ladder, you'll never get a pay rise.
