Spread Thin with Low Morale

Provides great flexibility to work remotely or change up hours on the fly to accomdate employee schedules, within reason

Cons

Lack of feedback from management leaves employees feeling unsuccessful, overloaded project and developmental queues lead to a death March with employees overwhelmed and pushed without incentives or rewards

Good for your first job but prepare to be let go without reason

Allow remote work. Supportive colleagues.

Cons

The job security is also bad. They can let you go without any reason. So be prepared. No mentoring, all learn by yourself. Working in AST is pretty stressful. You typically work 50-60 hours per week to handle a lot of work. The company was signed many contracts before the pandemic, but the development/implementation speed is pretty slow, so that customers will complain to you about the delays. The Berkeley office is pretty small, which can have at most 40 people. In addition, most of the employees are remote, in the USA and east Europe.
