Pros

Is an affordable housing provider, helping house those who are extremely and low-income.

Cons

This company will make you think they’re progressive and want to change their policies and systems which they practice unjustified housing discrimination against black and brown families, especially property managers who do not care for, respect or value black and brown lives. They use up employees hard work, relationships built, programs developed, data collected, reports drafted, recommendations and story-telling and use it for their own good and do not recognize or compensate the employee for the work. Wont allow personal or professional development if it isn’t coming from a organization like Neighborworks. Denied employee’s ability to participate in community equity program fellowships, Humphrey policy fellowships and more, which are all apart of helping changes systems within housing and others within our failing and unjust society.

Pros

Middle management truly care about the mission and employee wellbeing. Individual team chemistry is great, your peers value you.

Cons

Upper leadership do not value their employees wellbeing. You will be consistently disrespected, lied to and talked down to. Overworked and underpaid. They foster a toxic work environment that trickles down and screws with company culture across the board. New CEO truly cares about the mission, his heart is in the right place but he is not tapped into anything beyond yes-men in executive leadership.

Pros

Wonderful health benefits, fair salary for both incoming and retained employees, compliance department run with a good work life balance, management works with team members and teams to create the best outcomes possible. Lots of promotion from within, lots of personal growth development opportunities,

Cons

Corporate parking kind of sucked, not all of the departments were run with as little drama as Compliance, and I really couldn't complain about much else.
