Pros

You have a lot of flexibility and trust from the leadership. They truly respect what is important to you outside work.

Cons

- Too political for its relative small size (be good friends with the right folks, and you will get ahead). - Lack of true leadership (most senior employees are developed from within, and they came to the company with little skill and talent, and they have developed very little leadership skills). - Management by guessing (there have been many endeavors recently that uncovered significant poor managerial decisions, and the parties responsible are still going to continue leading the company, and most likely continue making primary errors as they do today) - Promotions are very slow to happen (priority is often given to a few employees that play the politics cards well, and often outside hires are given more opportunities because it appears that their experience matters more). - No clear path of career progression (many of the controller trainees, for example, are promised promotions within 2 years, and they do not see their promotion until much longer than that). - Compensation much lower than market on average (a few individuals are extremely overpaid for the poor decisions they have made in the company, but most are paid below market rates. There is an expectation that most will receive a bonus at year end, but with the price of commodities and poor managerial decisions, many will not see a bonus). - Company is losing some core Mormon values (some of the new company leadership will behave in a way out of the line with the owner's culture, so if you don't like swearing at work, you may be surprised how some of this new leadership swears and behaves in a non-Mormon way, if such a thing exists). - Education does not matter (one of their most senior leaders is only a high school graduate, and he boasts that education takes people nowhere, only hard work is enough; this man has mentored others in the company who are also very senior employees and set that as a culture for the company). - If you are junior to the company, your voice will not be heard much (specially because you won't even be included in meetings and discussions. Age matters in this company, and if you have not been there that long, you voice does not really matter, even though the older employees often cause financial distress for the company).

Pros

Insurance, 401k, location, vacation days, free parking in downtown

Cons

Only men are in director and vice president jobs, no women. Women do not appear to have equal opportunities for career advancement.
