      Impressive team but poor culture and leadership issues

      Pros

      Fantastic vision with a few impressive team members. Smart group of employees who care about changing the industry. Ability to give anything a go, encouraged to take risks and learn from mistakes

      Cons

      Zero company culture. Zero paid maternity or paternity leave. Senior leadership void of clear direction, late to the party on worldwide trends (ie AI). No HR. Cancelled training and upskilling programs - lack of career growth opportunities. Combative senior leaders who encourage the same style of behaviour.

      Startup that feels like a big company

      - fair pay - quality product

      Cons

      - between project managers, designers and other engineers reviews, there are many meetings - many decisions are done by consensus during meetings - young codebase, but already split into micro services with a big graphql API and had the need to be deployed all together. Minor changes that need changes across multiple services took to much work for no benefit.

      Pros

      Wonderful people, very supportive and geared towards personal growth. Get to work fast and innovate in a challenging old school industry. Long tenure of staff reflects a great place to work.

      Cons

      Priorities can change quickly and need to pivot. Challenging industry with varying levels of regulation in each state.
