Pros

Growing company with quite a few recent acquisitions and new investors. Most coworkers were nice to work with. Opportunity to wear multiple hats for smaller organization.

Cons

A lot of growing pains and lack of overall direction. Micromanaging culture despite lacking clearly defined roles. Company was purchased by Frazier Healthcare Partners in ‘21 which led to firing of a good amount of the sales teams. The sales leadership was questionable at best. Office politics led some to leave and others to be fired with prejudice. Often heard gossip regarding other employees around the corporate office. Company lacks overall diversity in general, especially in leadership roles. I would not recommend working for this company.

Bad outweighs the good, unfortunately

Pros

Many talented, smart, driven colleagues throughout the organization. Mostly solid product portfolio, with opportunity to innovate and make a difference for a lot of underserved patients.

Cons

Out of touch, dictatorial leadership in a few (but visible and impactful) roles. This, unfortunately, makes it difficult for the talented people SunMed attracts to make the impact that they could and should be able to. The issue has long been known and acknowledged by HR and senior leadership but, to date, has gone unaddressed. For many functional areas the bad, unfortunately, far outweighs the good and has resulted in the loss of a lot of talented employees.
