If you're looking to enter Compliance team, dont.
Pros
the team was great (teammates, not upper management). However, since most have been let go due to a personal issue the compliance officer had with them, I cannot say the same any more.
Cons
What once was a great team turned toxic in the last year. Concerns about extreme workloads and health issues due to stress were always ignored. Favoritism was obvious. Then without warning most of the experienced compliance team (coincidentally those who had spoken up about poor conditions or asked for more pay) were suddenly let go. Said it was about cutting costs but already are looking to rehire those same positions. The Compliance team is among the lowest paid in the company. Some asked for raises due to not affording basic needs and they were denied. If you have seen the multiple compliance job offers published recently, I advise you to think again about sending an application.
