Pros

Generally good work/life balance. Sometimes there is leftover (sometimes expired) food scraps you're allowed to take home.

Cons

Salary is downright abysmal. Most people here are working two jobs just to make ends meet, while taking on double, or even triple, the amount of job responsibilities they were originally hired for. Middle management gets slashed at the end of the budget year in order to save money, but the executive team (or family of the executive team) gets company paid-for flights and high rise luxury apartments. These roles don't end up getting filled, but pushed onto entry-level employees whose hunger for experience gets taken advantage of -- yet there's no career mobility here to speak of. This is evident in the very high turn over rate, poor morale, and lack of camaraderie between teams. There's also an alarmingly lack of diversity and sustainability at this company. Little to no people of color work here; there is not ONE single person of color in a managerial or high level position. When promotions do occur (and it is rare), it gets awarded to white men (or family members of the executive team) There's a total disregard for sustainability practices as well; tons of waste gets produced every day without a blink of an eye, and executives fly back and forth multiple times a week since they don't live in the state.

Many Pros, but cons outweigh them

Pros

Great non-C-suite staff, always food around, new and clean facility, dog friendly, beautiful, well-researched products.

Cons

Pay rate, medical benefits, new location hard to get to, c folks not particularly approachable, sometimes secretive, recently started moving some things out of house/overseas, relatively high employee turn-over on average, not much room for advancement in most cases.

great company, but horrendous pay

Pros

great coworkers, free food, everyone is passionate about their work, decent amount of vacation, dog-friendly workplace

Cons

the pay is atrocious and not livable for Boston (where the company is based) and because the turnover is rather low due to the lack of similar companies in Boston, it takes a while to move up the ladder. the employer doesn't cover employees medical care, which is even more awful considering they do not pay their employees enough to AFFORD medical insurance
