Pros

You will meet some very nice people, adults and teenagers, depending on the camp you are at.

Cons

If you are ok with being exploited, then apply for a job. In my experience, I gave everything, and the management just kept wanting more, so you end up working way beyond your contracted hours, and take on responsibilities that you would expect a marketing person/ an advertisement executive / a SEN teacher to perform, so that the greedy and ungrateful management - who stay at such a distance from the camps they do not bother to witness and recognise your efforts - can continue to run these highly profitable camps, with as few outgoings as possible. All in all, a nice experience to begin with, but it left a sour taste in the mouth at the end

Pros

The students who sign up for the course.

Cons

I paid over $1000 (airfare, travel insurance and a 'deposit' to volunteer at Angloville in Poland. I was told I would stay at a luxury hotel with three meals/day in exchange for speaking with paying adult students for a week. The paying students may have had luxury accommodations but the volunteers were sent to damp, moldy, stinking basement rooms (shared) with thin foam mattresses. The 3 meals consisted of the same food everyday. Breakfast and dinner were cold cuts, cheese, boiled eggs every day. 12 1/2 hour days starting at 8:30 am and ending at 9:00 pm. Unresponsive, deceitful practices.

We’re genuinely sorry to hear about your disappointing experience. This is not the standard we aim for, and we regret that the accommodation and meals did not meet your expectations. While we do not advertise luxury hotels, we strive to provide comfortable 3-star venues. We take your comments about the volunteer coordinator seriously and will be addressing them to ensure better communication and support for our volunteers. Please feel free to reach out directly to us if you’d like to discuss this further at info@angloville.com. Your feedback is valuable in helping us enhance the experience for everyone involved.
