Pros

The great thing about working at Corporate is that the location was beautiful. There was also a Halloween group contest every year and it was fun. Some of the company events were very fun & inclusive.

Cons

The cons list is so long. There is, or was, a senior executive that was/is rude and unprofessional. She humiliated and belittled me in front of some employees and that's what led me to resign. I had seen reviews before about her but I did not believe them to be true until I lived it. The President at the time was extremely nice and supportive of the HR team. Working in HR was difficult since it was a revolving door of managers, recruiters and admins. The pay was not great at all. Everyone is overworked and underpaid. I would see pay for employees in the leasing offices, maintenance and corporate and could not believe how little they were getting paid. Many of the employees that have been working there for many years are very rude to newcomers. Benefits are horrible too. The building itself is pretty old and the furniture is literally from the 70's in need of upholstering or replacing.

Pros

As an HR Recruiter, I had the opportunity to meet a large selection of staff from onsite, to upper management and executives. I also was given the opportunity by my HR Director to not only expand my knowledge but also gave me the freedom to explore and get creative with my work. I will always appreciate her for that. If you are engaged with your work and open to communicating with different people across the spectrum while learning this is the place for you. Not to mention the great health benefits they offer for the employee. The majority of holidays are covered. Events and very nice gatherings are put into place for the employees. Executives and the president really care about their people.

Cons

Keeping in mind that you are exposed to a lot of staff, not all of them will be as easygoing as others. You must have thick skin to understand and be able to communicate with some members of the Anza team. I took it as an opportunity to learn how to cope with more difficult people in a professional setting. Medical benefits for families are expensive. IT is key for any company, and in this case, they can improve their rate of response and urgency.

Pros

At the time I was hired, I was a recent college graduate with no prior experience. I will be forever grateful to my HR manager that gave me the opportunity to learn, grow, and gain experience in different branches of human resources. The HR team was a group of amazing women who always supported each other. Additionally, the Anza Corporate office is diverse and always brings all departments together with fun, inclusive activities, especially during the holidays. Overall, great place to learn and grow in the human resource field!

Cons

Was still transitioning to electric filing, so there were a lot of paperwork.
