Pros

Beer in the kitchen and roomy bathrooms. The development team is actually diverse and full of interesting and cool individuals.

Cons

Be wary of some reviews posted here as management likes to tell employees to post good reviews when they are trying to hire. If you put all the innovative companies in LA in one room, Apollo would be the skinny entitled frat bro in a USC shirt selling fake concert tickets in the other side of town. Aside from one of the owners visibly having a "let's make America great" cap on his desk, the company culture will slowly suck your soul and take your phyche to the darkest corners of your mind. I entered this company driven and passionate about the work but soon enough the environment and management style slowly but surely beings to suck your life force. They make money of a super sketch industry and don't provide any real product of substance any creative individual would feel proud of. They will hand you a ball of mud and try to sell it to you as a diamond. The mistake I made was to stay longer than a couple months. If you want a place to start and pays on the low end just take up a payed internship somewhere that is actually doing interesting creative things with a modern and creative company culture. A smart individual actually passed on a front end job offer from them to pursue and search more creative work and landed a job paying double what they offered him with fulfilling creative work.

Pros

This is my second job working for a digital advertising company. Apollo has a great work-life balance, but be expected to stay in late when things need to be done. One of the great things about working at Apollo was that I was able to make a difference right away and management trusted my ideas to improve their operations to automate reports. They have a number of fun activates such as the company softball team during the summer, ping pong tournaments, poker, and a running club on our lunch break.

Cons

The hours aren't that flexible and their PTO policy is very limited, which they don't offer any sick days. There was no set procedure when it came to training for my Analyst position, which means I had to be quick on my feet to pick things up, but luckily my past work experience helped me succeed.

Pay cuts

Pros

Laid back environment and the work is relatively easy.

Cons

They give pay cuts, not even based on performance. Which is unfortunate because they pay below market rate for any creative or technical position. Also all the marketing/business dev jobs seem to go to their frat bro's regardless of experience or skill.
