Pros

I had a good boss who cared about those who worked for him.

Cons

Pay wasn't great. Arconic doesn't care about the people working for it. They also claim to promote safety first, but this isn't reflected in practice or expectations. Lack of attention to detail in engineering. Unqualified people are often promoted beyond their ability and sometimes blamed for subsequent failure. It's a company basing itself on innovation after having spun off from Alcoa, but that innovation isn't better than competitors; there is little differentiation and possibly some loss of competitiveness due to reduction of vertical integration.

Pros

Health benefits, occasionally find some decent people.

Cons

Management don't listen, they don't talk to the people who actually do the job and cause alot if problems. The don't appreciate the work you do and think that working there is the best thing ever. A quote from management was " we can just pick anyone of the street and they would love to work here". Not true at all.

Pros

Colleagues and general working vibe.

Cons

Arconic could be such a great company. Unfortunately, all is wasted because of a complete lack of communication, archaic business mentality. Praise is an unknown word and career progression remain a nice wishful thinking. Employees' main focus is looking for better opportunities and leaving the company asap, nevertheless management has no retaining policy hence is losing valuable resources on a daily basis. Training? Simply absent!
